Herd Health

Herd Health - we offer routine and specialized herd health for dairy and beef cattle.   We focus on bovine pregnancy diagnosis, metabolic disease, gastrointestinal disease, respiratory disease, lameness, macro and trace mineral analysis, as well as calf rearing.  We enjoy working on all ruminants and camelids.

We also offer the same list of specialized procedures for equines as listed above including ultrasonography for pregnancy detection.

Wellness exams - includes routine hoof care, annual vaccinations for Rabies, Clostridium C & D (over-eating disease), Tetanus. Includes worming and boosters for vitamin E and selenium to prevent white muscle disease. Includes vaccination for rhinopneumonitis for camelids housed with equines. We evaluate body scores annually as obesity is such a problem in these animals.

Sickness exams are individual and herd evaluations to determine cause of morbidity.  This emergency coverage includes administration of intravenous fluids, treatment for choke, heat stroke, overeating disease, polioencephalomalacia, listeriosis, "failure to thrive" syndrome, among many other possibilities. 

Surgery routine displaced abomasum, caesarain sections, surgical castrations, fighting teeth trimming, laceration repair, and, microchip insertion.
